POOL, the news! Pierre-Lou's leaving soon...

Pierre-Lou will once again be heading north to Finland to continue his photographic mission as part of the POOL project! In August, he will be returning to the Evo nature area, to photograph seasonal wetlands during the summer period. At this time of year, these areas, which used to be wet in spring, generally dry out. Pierre-Lou will discover a very different scenery from the one he explored in 2023...

And while Pierre-Lou has been in France since his return in July 2023, the POOL project teams have not ceased their field research and public awareness work. Scientific monitoring continues and is enriched from one year to the next: tracking water levels, monitoring vegetation heights, monitoring biodiversity, measuring greenhouse gas emissions, developing models associated with satellite images...

At the same time, the team organizes numerous events for schoolchildren, students and a wider public. The artistic productions created as part of the project, combined with the results of the research work, offer an original vision and raise awareness of the importance of these habitats. A pedagogical kit has been designed and is freely available for working on these subjects with schoolchildren.
