After a 48-hour journey, I arrived on Monday 15 May at the Lammi biological station where I met Clarisse, a PhD student at the University of Helsinki, and her team. Tuula, the station coordinator, also gave me the keys to Evo's cottage, where I will be staying for the next two weeks.
Finnish atmosphere guaranteed, with a sauna on the edge of lake Rautjärvi! In the evening, the calls of arctic loons and whooper swans give the place a magical atmosphere!
